nope you have to have to have too much money to make that a reality. plus i dont really care about oil i like gold. you cant bring a barrel of oil with you any where and get cash. unlike gold i can bring it anywhere and trade it for currency. thats were im having my money invested as well. i will always have more gold than cash. If our dollar goes to the shitter i can go overseas and cash in my gold bars and get a currency that can make life sustainable.
i will never be stuck with worthless currency if i have gold.
now let that process.....

There is no fricking way you're not trolling.
If you're not, you're just not bright.
If you're not bright, you could invest the 300k in the right things and have a better chance of not losing everything you own for a pipe dream. This ain't the gold rush days, son

wouldnt you like to know. i'll be honest i dont have the full 300k but not far off. once i get to northern cali it wont take long.
i will average 400 a day on the gold fields there and at years end i will have made over 100k. then its off to buying equipment and making plans to getting everything shipped from seattle to ak.
OK, I'll play....
Where in NorCal you plan on running your operation, just a general area will do? You do know that dredging is closed, due to a law suit, in the entire state right? If you are contemplating a bigger operation with a wash plant you will need approximately 38 permits in this state which take years, if ever, to acquire. 100K in a year panning/metal detecting on GPAA mine claims ain't gonna happen.
Now, if you were lucky enough to locate an old hardrock mine that was a good producer back in the day and isn't already claimed, maybe.
Then you'll need a permit from ATF and the local sheriff for explosives. Again, not easy to acquire. Add in a little geology, you know, so you can read the rock and follow the indicators.
A good mine engineering book will come in handy also.
After all that, if you aren't dead from a mistake, you may just find what you're looking for.
Best of luck to you in your adventure and be safe.
ETA:Couldn't get the IMG thing to work so had to go with links to the pics.

i will only be doing placer mining. not hard rock.
i will be running on gpaa lands and ldma property.
i also will purchase property that i see worthwhile.
LINK
is one place with alot of claims for sale.
i will not be running a dredge as i know of the mandate.
i will be using old hand and shovel. im also looking into going to colorado. things look good for colorado since they just had that big flood and that moves around new material.
i will be running about 3 tons of material a day. all by the way of 5 gallon buckets.
im not the only person that has this idea. plenty of people are doing the same thing right now and they have shows on cable.
check out the ice cold gold shows on nat geo. and alaska gold diggers. and yukon gold.
all of them normal everyday people with the dream to strike it rich and most do.
also check out all the gpaa show gold fever on the outdoor channel. you will learn alot.
bet you didnt know the gpaa founded the outdoor channel. thats right a gold miner started his own channel. you cant be to crazy to become so rich.....

I sold old Buzzard and the rest of the Massey's some of my placer claims back in the 70's when they were starting up.
Mine the miners, that's where the $ is
