They need a dictator, not a committee. I know from sitting in a room with attorneys all the time....

1 person things get done quick.
2 to 3 people ideas are shared, things get done.
4 to 5 takes longer but things slowly get done.
6 and above, chaos

There aren't that many coaches. Doesn't make sense for there to be a committee when there are what 120 teams and say only HC, DC, and OC are reasonable HC hires for Texas, so 360 people. When fortune 500 companies are forming search committees there could be 5 execs at every fortune 500 company to consider at least.. what a waste of time.

When committees are formed nothing gets done. For a shining example of this axiom, look no further than Capitol Hill.
