When I was young my dad would check me out of school and take me to see the Cardinals and Cubs whenever the Cards were in town at least once a year(we lived in the burbs of Chicago till I was 11). When I became able I started taking him to St.Louis every year to see a couple of games, and wouldn't let him spend a dime. My dad passed in 2009, and I haven't been to a game since. What I wouldn't give for one more trip.

My parents are completely sports illiterate which makes it difficult to connect since sports have been (and continue to be) a huge part of my release.
My parents are both homebodies who watch a lot of movies/TV so that becomes pretty much the only thing we can connect on.
