re: Teach me about WSM's

I've found that my 300wsm will usually shoot a little slower the n the 300 winnys even after adjusting for differences in barrel length. Usually around the 100fps range and that coincides with most ballistic information I've seen out there. The only advantage I see is the benefit of a short action rifle and an unbelted case. The trade off is the tendency of the short fat case to not feed smoothly. The 270 wsm is starting to make a little more sense to me with the arrival of the heavier VLD bullets with increased BCs. Still, the 6.5 WSM is a LOT sexier.
