exactly. He's finally healed those tarnishes on his national reputation. It would just be really stupid and self-destructive to do that to himself again.

Time and winning healed it. Give him 5 years and 1 titles in Austin(whichever comes 1st) and it returns to the backburner.

All trump honest comments said prior to Mack Brown's vacating the HC slot..

Everybody loves a winner. Even at 62, it only took LSU four yrs, and Bama three, to cash crystal with CNS..he'll grab at least one in five to seven seasons at Texas.

Even a mere one natty title at Texas via a third program, will hold more legacy clout than if stayed at Bama winning another two or three.
