With both being good (or better) that means they fight each other more, but we also have a higher chance of losing one of our guys to either school.

As previously stated, a strong AU helps LSU. It creates a weaker Alabama. AU dipped into LA a little for Reed and Greg Robinson, but they usually hit GA more for OOS recruits. But if they can weaken Alabama, it limits Bama's attractiveness for OOS recruits, and Bama targets LA more for OOS recruits.
