Looking at 3-9x50mm and the 3.5-10x44mm. Mostly field hunt? What is the OB's thoughts?

Personally I would get the 50mm, but thats just me!

Out of those two: 3-9x50
Whatever you do, don't look through the 3-12x56 at dusk unless you're ready to drop a grand.

the 3x12-56 is the next thing to night vision. You owe to yourself. Just do it.

This. Everybody I hunt with is always like "dude where have you been?"
My grandfather actually honks the horn sometimes when I go with him. He's got more important shite to do than wait on me, like light the fire at the camp and refresh his drink.

If you're going to be out that late you might as well grab a q-beam and a .22.

I'd go with the 10 power, for the little bit extra magnification.
