It's not noticeable in that picture, but it certainly if you are at the game.

To hell with looks.

I worry / wonder what it will be like for a right / left fielder to run full speed on grass to get to a ball in foul territory, and then try to stop on a completely different surface.

Looks don't matter at all compared to player safety concerns.
