I don't think anyone is saying OSU's D is better than MSU's (at least I hope not).

But you have to consider how many points were put up on those teams as well. OSU put up 40 on almost all those teams.

MSU plays great defense and plays field position, something OSU has done well for a decade before the past 2 years

Alright, we'll play that game:

Michigan: Michigan State put up 29 and only gave up 6. Ohio State was a 2 point conversion away from losing and put up 42.

Illinois: Michigan State put up 42 and only gave up 3. Ohio State HAD to put up 60 because they gave up 35.

Indiana: Both teams put up 42.

Purdue: Doesn't matter how many points you put up in a shutout.

Iowa: Ohio State put up 34 and allowed 24. Michigan State put up 26 and allowed 14.

Northwestern: Ohio State put up 34 (don't let the "40" fool you, that was a bizarre backdoor cover) and gave up 30. Michigan State put up 30 and gave up 6

Oh, and that Nebraska game you mentioned? Michigan State put up 42 points in Lincoln.
