I'm currently in first place and should lock up the 1 seed this week. With that said. 4 teams make the playoffs and they're weeks 14 & 15. Next week I will play the 4 seed with his playoffs on the line more than likely. The current 5 seed would more than likely take over if I Beat the 4 seed next week. With everything locked up for me should I throw the match next week to keep the 4 seed in there and play him again in the first round, who I'm confident I can beat so bc if the 5th seed guy got in he is the guy right behind me in points and has gotten really unlucky along the way. Is it still considered collusion if I'm throwing a match to better my playoff chances instead of facing the next best team?

Yes. If you're playing with friends and people you know I would steer very clear of doing this. If you're playing in a lg with a bunch of randoms online for fun, then who cares Lol

Lol definitely a league with all buddies. But the guy that would be left out in this scenario is the whiner of the group. Always complaining ab something. He's the guy everyone looks to beat.

I would do it in a heartbeat. Usually there is a lot of money involved, so I don't care who gets mad. Collusion? Maybe, but that person on the bubble should have done a better job at securing a playoff spot instead of relying on another team to help him.

Technically it isn't collusion if the other team has nothing to do with it. You're looking out for your own team and no one else is involved.

Just my opinion though!

I don't see a problem with it since you are doing it to help your chances. It's kind of like the real football teams sitting players in the last game of the year to rest for the playoffs.

I would call bullshite if you started players on a bye (when is the last bye week - not sure if that applies). But as long as you field a team of players who actually have games that week, I don't see a problem.

The answer to this questions is always NO.

"You play to win the game."

If you can't win fair and square, then you don't deserve to win. Who wants to say, "I won the championship because I manipulated the crippled team into the playoffs"? Wouldn't you rather say, I faced the team with Peyton Manning, Jamaal Charles and Megatron, and still won because I'm the best fantasy manager ever"?

I like the way you think but it is a weak arse move. We kick people out of our league for throwing ANY game for ANY reason.

No it isn't. It's not an agreement between him and the other team. He would be doing it to benefit his team. Would it be the most fair thing? No. But if it improves his chances, frick it.

The throwing the game doesnt matter

But the idea of wanting to play one team more than the other is dumb. At that point in the season any given team can win as and the top seed, you probably won't win your league
