Agree. The networks hold a lot of these kids hostage withthose announcements and put tons of pressure on kids to go through with them even if the kids have second thoughts. The families have to be getting compensated in some way or are just absent. No way I'd allow ESPN to pressure my child into doing something they aaren't sure about. There would be some furniture moving going on. However, the kids are as much to blame for this stuff as anyone. They agree to it and in many cases prefer to. I just don't like it but to each their own. Worse things going on than this

A couple of points. I do get a laugh every time some kid announces at the game and within a week he has reneged. Perhaps, they should replay the selected school's fight sound backwards to signify this. Here's the kids I don't respect and do respect during that time. First, the ones I don't respect...having the hats up there on the table is one thing. But the guys who play with the deal by picking up one hat and then throwing it down...have some class...just show some class to the coaches you did NOT select and give them respect for treating you and being your host on an official visit. The kids I do respect are the ones who do it without the above switcheroo nonsense and the kids who tell AA game people that they have decided they aren't ready to commit yet. BTW, who was that...Shaq Washington...who committed during the AA game and within 2 weeks had decommitted twice more and then went with his 3rd school in 2 weeks. What a guy!!
