I am absolutely thrilled that we won tonight. The team was prepared to win, both mentally and strategically. We dominated both sides of the ball.
Defense did a fantastic job containing and limiting Manziel's options, as well as pressure him to make plays despite a lot of uncalled holding and offensive PI.
Offense played an excellent game. Hats off to the offensive line. They dominated the line of scrimmage and worked aTm's defensive front all night, and their hard work showed. They protected Mett, gave him ample time to throw, and didn't allow a single sack. The trench work gave way for our RBs to gash aTm for 324 yards on the ground.
The only really concerning issue in today's game was the unnecessary penalties. Pass interference happens. Holding happens. False starts, however, are avoidable...and we had a lot of them tonight.
I can't speak for anyone else's feelings after other games this season, nor can I explain their post-game commentary; I can only explain my own. My criticisms after other games this season were out of frustration because it didn't seem like the team played the way they could/should have. The blame typically falls on the coaching staff, and their failure in preparing the team for a complete game/failing to make adjustments during games.
I don't see how wanting to see the team win and perform to their potential is indicative of being a less dedicated fan.
If being critical of the staff after the Ole Miss loss, or pointing out weaknesses along the way that would surely frick us in the Bama game fits your criteria of being a "so-called fan"....I'd say you're an ignorant a-hole.

Posts like this is what's wrong with this board. Why does there have to be a line in the sand? This defense has done nothing to this point to make you expect this kind if result. Tonight was great and it was an awesome win, but don't act like you saw this coming. This team has under acheived all year and has had shots to be great, tonight they took it. In the previous games they haven't. It doesn't mean I'm any less of a fan for realizing this.

quote:who believes any of us get to tell the coaches who to play or how to game plan. But to suggest that fans shouldn't comment on bad play and bad coaching when we see it ignores every fan base in the world. It's what fans do unless you're clueless about the game and simply praise whatever you see as being perfect.
as the OP I am really glad I could create so much controversy... The whole thing comes down to the fact that people want to b**** about LSU and b**** about LSU all the time and then jump on the bandwagon when they play well... Be a tiger fan all the time stop b******* about our coach. As a fan you choose to purchase your tickets and support the team or not purchase your tickets or not donate to the program that is your recourse you don't get to tell the coaches how to call plays who to play or how to game plan that is not our job is as fans....our job is to support our team or choose not to support them but the fact that so many of our so-called fans think that they should be able to tell the coaches how to game plan to coach the team is ridiculous
If you don't want to hear from "negatigers" then you and others should stop making threads encouraging comments.
And btw you bitch about LSU fans more than anyone I've seen in these threads bitching about LSU. In fact by and large the only "bitching" really is people being upset that the team didn't play this well consistently. And Miles and every member if the team will agree with that.
So stop being a negafan and chill the frick out.

Reminds me of those times back in the 90s when Skip and the boys would play some #1 MLB draft pick and run him off the field by the 3rd.
I love me some John Chavis. The future is bright, folks. Lets just hope some of these juniors dont go the Michael Ford route.

DC....you can't jump on the bandwagon if you've been on it for decades.
Chill out my man....everyone is basking in the glow...enjoy it!
This one game is not going to change things around here overnight. Quit focusing on "I told ya so" rhetoric.
Leave that shite to the hardcore pumpers!!!
