We could keep our first round pick next year for one of the best drafts in a long time.

Even in the best drafts, a 10-14 pick is not that great. If we somehow shite the bed and get a top 3 pick, we keep it in a top-loaded draft.

We could have kept Nerlens and have AD mentor him and no one could ever score on us in the paint. With those two down low that would give Ryno even more shots.

I'm not sold on Nerlens Noel. Dude is super skinny and doesn't have the frame to add much weight at all. He also doesn't have much skill on offense, so it could result in a clogged lane.

Also we could have kept Vasquez, who is not that much different from Holiday.

So far, you are correct. Vasquez was better offensively. We were convinced that Holiday was head and shoulders above him as a defender, but he just hasn't shown much on that end so far. He just doesn't pressure the ball like I wanted him to. Hopefully he is just adjusting to the schemes and rotations that we use. I didn't see enough last year, but it's very possible his steal numbers last year were fool's gold. Sometimes steals come from sagging and jumping lanes, resulting in open lanes to the basket. He has certainly sagged more than I had hoped.

All that said, I think it's too early to say. It's still early and he's still learning his teammates tendencies and abilities. If it is Noel and a 10th pick or later, it will probably end up being a good trade.

Yeah I know it is early but it was just some thoughts flowing through my head. I hope he does pan out and play like the AllStar he was last year and that we traded for.
