Did you get a grade for this super easy class that some football players took? I think I see that 2+2=4.

This is the missing ingredient.

Yeah cause Gump players don't get busted for weed anymore.

Saban does many things Miles doesn't do.... Discipline is primary but Saban runs his programs life an NFL franchise using all of the new cutting edge programs introduced to Belichick, etc.... Miles is just an average college coach with no imagination. Decent recruiter, but horrible coach .... He's had his moments but his time at LSU is almost over...
You are as good as your assistant coaches. MB over at UT had great teams/runs with great assistant coaches but those people left and viola...Miles will only be as good as his coordinators assistants. Miles/Brown/Saban cant coach everything like a small high school team.

I was at LSU as a student during the Saban years, and one of my management course instructors was a Martial arts instructor. He told us in DEC 2003 that he had a VERY good feeling that LSU would beat OU.
Here's the thing: Saban made the LSU football team take martial arts classes from him. I think it disciplined the squad.
I like miles, and I love LSU, but I think that this could be a big difference between miles and saban.

I've been asking for years what his football philosophy is and how he has adapted his strategy to fit in with today's modern game, and still haven't gotten a clear answer.

the team must have skipped that class during the Florida and Ole Miss weeks...
