This is the dumbest thing ever posted on this board. On a given day, Donovan can be our best player. Last time we played Scotland (in Jacksonville), Landy had a hat trick and an assist.
Donovan is one of the players we want starting. Have you ever watched the USMNT before? Please enlighten me on greater options.

What are you, the fricking board monitor?
I meant that if two 30-plus yo's are our best players--whom I remember in 2002 were projected to be international superstars, but turned out to be basically journeymen as being compared to world-class players--then it doesn't say much for the way the US is developing players.
Lighten up, man. Life isn't all that bad.
Sheesh. I didn't realize the USMNT following was a cloistered cult on here just like the recruiting board.
