quote:
Agreed. OBI Wan should have been the focus of the entire Prequel trilogy.
Correct (they couldn't have sold podracing toys/games, etc.), but ZERO Anakin in the first chapter - that one being about Obi Wan, perhaps his mentor getting killed and discovering the Sith in their midst.
Second chapter: Palpatine moves to consolidate his power. Obi Wan, now a senior Jedi, starts to independently investigate the goings on. Have the Empire take out the bulk of the Jedi at this point (like the Templars or the SA Brownshirts being eliminated, as a historical reference). Obi Wan, Anakin and Yoda take it on the lam. Anakin (secretly an agent of Palpatine for some time) attempts to kill Obi Wan, but the vestiges of his conscience and Yoda's intervention stop him. However, they do not kill him and Anakin escapes.
Chapter Three: Anakin, now Darth Vader (really Darth Vader, not some whiny, bitch-arse poser in a suit), hunts down a half a dozen or so of the remaining Jedi, backed by real Storm Troopers (not clones of Boba Fett's dad - just ludicrous plot holes in all of that $hit).
Obi Wan drops Yoda off in the jungle, while he relocates to the desert to watch over the son of Skywalker, in whose family the force is strong (not some bull$hit about midiclorians - again, the retconning in the prequels was as bad as the acting, directing and overdone special effects.)
Was that so hard?

maybe it's just because I think every idea lucas has had since the first star wars is bad, but enough of the padawan, jedi, master, council bullshite.
Jedis are jedis...obi wan is a jedi from 1st to last. Anakin is a jedi from first to last, enough of this sexless monk shite
anakin should've been the han of this series...a morally ambiguous ahole scoundrel pilot, who is corrupted by the idea of power and joins palpatine...he should've been vader from some point in the second half of the second movie. Just my 2 cents, but I would love to have him be the antagonist of at least one of the films...and at no point should the complete vader suit be shown...he gets fricked up, but he has more injuries and battles before he becomes the fully deformed vader from the OT. Why did everything have to be put in place exactly as it was at the beginning of Star Wars?
maybe there is a showdown in the end of the second film and vader, who just turned on his friends in a crucial moment, gets horribly burned when obi wan force throws some fricking acid or some shite wherever they're fighting that burns him. obi wan flees...the only time in the entire series vader should lose a fight is against luke. obi wan gets lucky both times and ESCAPES with his life, vader gets scarred, then maybe pierced through the lung by a lightsaber, and then needs a breathing apparatus, but it is very crude looking and he looks evil as shite. He walks around sporting a mechanical arm and some shite bolted into his chest running up that covers his mouth and nose...i always thought the vader suit had been put together over decades as the injuries and deformities mounted because vader was fricking crazy and would battle any number of people/creatures...i also thought he hunted down most of the jedi personally and so the injuries have taken their toll.
