The whole unit has to be replaced when battery dies. No bueno.

I read in one article that there will be an upgrade/exchange plan when the batt dies. So there is that.

Also, I wouldn't put too much stock yet into the lack of security. They have another 6 months to perfect this. Also, anyone with a brain and a smart phone can skim a normal credit card already. If anything, this might be more secure since more security features will be built in to the actual device.

ETA: I ordered one the day they went on pre sale. But I'm in the banking/security business, so I need to know how this works haha.
