Yeah we were lucky to rack up 6W were just cursed on MNF until then (06). I recall even listening on the radio our 1st W vs Steelers in 84 since was blacked out! Not even a sellout!
Was there for the infamous O Raiders debacle though 79 with the Snake, Ugh, those were dark days in primetime!

I vaguely remember, as a lad, being excited for an upcoming Saints season. We had such a potent offense: Manning, Muncie, Chandler, Galbreath, and we'd just come so close to breaking through the year before. It was glorious to be so young and full of anticipation...

And then IT happened. Oh well, it cemented me as a Saints fan, through thick and thin. Made the Mora years all that much better. I still remember hearing Bradshaw on Monday Night betraying his Steelers and yelling "Run Hokie Run!".

All we went through, in order to get to Brees/Payton, it makes this that much more beautiful.

OMG, i remember that game well. That was our first ever win on MNF. I was in Las Vegas at the time as a kid with my parents. Watched in in the hotel room. Mark Malone was QB for the steelers and I never forget Dennis "dirt" Winston's pick 6. That was fabulous.
