CLM is a bad coach because he hasn't had an O lineman go in the first round?

When the competition is having OL drafted in the 1st rd and you compete against them for recruits, it would be nice to say we're a good launching pad to the NFL for OL.

Somewhat in defense of our program on this, Will Arnold would have been drafted (projected 5th rd had he come out early after '06), Ciron was likely a 1st rd pick before being injured, and Faulk would likely have been drafted high had he not been injured as well. Injuries haven't been kind to us.

I can't disagree, but if you look at our "competition", since 2005 (aside from Alabama which has had 4 O-Linemen drafted in the 1st round since 2009), six SEC schools have had O-Linemen drafted in the 1st round: Ole Miss (2); Auburn (1); Vandy (1); Florida (2); & Texas A&M (1).

Kyle Williams was only a 5th round pick in 2006, but wound up being one of the highest paid O Linemen in the NFL. We haven't had a lot of 1st rounders over the years, but we have had put some good O-Line players in the pro's. More would help!
