It always seems like the real soccer haters are huge baseball fans. For them, they hate it for the same reason that they love baseball...they learned to at an early age.

IDK. Soccer gets picked on on the MSB quite a bit by the hardcore football crowd who feel the need to post "OMG I clicked the soccer board, am I gay?!". Lot of baseball hate over there too.

Personally, I'm baseball 1A and soccer 1B. Basketball doesn't do much for me and football is fun but I'm not a huge die-hard fan. Most of my friends are huge baseball fans and like soccer as well.

Baseball is basically the one sport I refuse to watch.

Soccer and baseball are my two favorite sports, for vastly different reasons. Soccer for the reasons stated here previously - 90+ minutes, no commercial, non-stop action - baseball because there is no time limit, it could go on and on and on, but there is a definite ebb and flow of a baseball game. I do agree with the general sentiment that most people do not like soccer because it is not an "American" sport. Seems like everyone sure does get excited when World Cup comes around though. Too bad, it is their loss. Always like to bring up to soccer haters the fact that football has only about 11-12 minutes of action in a game.

Real Time Football

And yes I am a football fan, along with F1, golf and cycling. "European" sports - I'll take them.
