Grant Park really isn't that bad of a neighborhood anymore.

The problem is that the Ted is in the middle of a bunch of vast parking lots with an interstate bordering it on one side. There was never any potential for growth right around the stadium. It's parking lots + residential.

I was more talking about immediate surroundings. Just nothing to do but tailgate in the lots. Which is fine if you drive. But not if you take MARTA.

Just not a great experience outside the stadium. Not even talking about "ghetto"-wise.

We always end up going in the game an hour early to drink and eat because we have nothing to do.

yea, it's parking lots then houses. no room for anything to build up unless they demolish some houses
