Not playing safe to guard against a fake punt on Bama's 4th and short at midfield in the 3rd quarter with score tied at 17. After the time out to preserve the 4th and short, I even saw it coming and I'm not qualified to coach pee wee FB. Gary Danielson saw it coming. LSU coaches did not.
Bama's conversion for 1st down ended up as the turning point in the game after which Bama never looked back.
I'd call that a pretty big coaching error.
