I wonder if McCarrom will go pro if drafted or opt to stay home with daddy.

It's a compliment that LSU is not just another nameless faceless opponent to him.
So, LSU should be thankful that Saban gets pleasure from beating them?
hilarious.

I agree. His reaction seemed like someone who just proved something to himself that he may have questioned before. I have a lot of respect for Saban as a college football coach, but he comes off as a narcissist sometimes with the lack of genuine complimentary reactions for his players following past victories. Last night he literally beat the program that he gave a huge head-start.
Also I fear it has a lot to do with recruiting. He is dismantling LSU's elite status and eliminating what was his biggest threat in the West. No other SEC west program even has the potential to compete on a long term basis. AU will lose the recruiting battle to Bama most of the time in state, Arkansas doesn't have the recruits, A&M will struggle when UTa bounces back, Mississippi schools aren't legit threats. It's scary to think about Saban staying there for another 10 years.

I think he was just happy because it was the first time he ever believed in this years team. Up to now they hadn't played anyone that he respected. To dominate LSU though, you can hang your hat on that win and it probably means he's going to get another ring. He's a bloodthirsty little bastard so he was probably still pumped from the beat down they were giving us in the 4th Q.

Saban KNOWS we were a huge hurdle to overcome. The title is bama's.
there's some games left to be played, but i completely agree with your view of this.
the fact is that this is the toughest game year in and year out (imo) for both teams, and if there was one team to worry about more than anyone else on the road to a championship, it was lsu.
and here's a link to the moment in question:
