A lot of those Forbes articles are poorly written and full of hyperbole. This one for example is just complete bullshite:

There is one tiny, minuscule little game studio in NOLA that's barely even worth mentioning. The quoted claim is just absurd.
I'm not getting into a big argument about the economic condition of NOLA on here because I'm no expert. I do know that there are hardly any jobs ever posted on the popular job sites. I also know that a lot of those Forbes articles are completely worthless
