" Barack Obama stands on MLK's shoulders. And so does Jonathan Martin."

Ahhhh, the ever philosophical Jason Whitlock has now chimed in. This is exactly what this story needed.
What. A. Buffoon.
What. A. Buffoon.

I'm sure Incognito offered Martin physical protection on the football field. It's standard operating procedure for a prison-yard bully to cultivate a relationship that is equal parts fear, love and disrespect. It's how you turn a guy out and make him grab your belt loop
That article is dead on.

You should delete the link, so his dumbass article doesn't get more hits.

Sorry, I just had to let people behold this absurdity. I mean, this is a new low.

It's calling out black people so guys who are conditioned to call him a racebaiter should love it.

Whitlock looks at everything through the prism of race. However he is not afraid to call out his own for things from time to time.

Loved the article and agree with everything he said. Dolphins' heads should roll after this fiasco.
Whitlock is saying that Obama stands on MLK's shoulders because MLK blazed the way for a black man to become POTUS.
As a bigot, Richie stands on another bigot's (Wallace) shoulders.

I found the article to be pretty solid, the MLK comment notwithstanding.

I have no idea. NO IDEA how you can come to that conclusion. So get rid of Ireland. Fine. He was on the hot seat anyway because of poor drafts.
But if the NFL lays down any punitive action on this team like they do the Saints for something that could have been handled completely in house, but instead has been blown epically out of proportions because this story fits lock in step with their bullying and racial agenda, I am done with pro football. For good.
Martin is a mental weakling, and just like everyone said for bounty-gate, this happens to some degree all across the NFL. He lawyered up on the guidance of his litigious parental upbringing because he's got monetary motivations behind this. He couldn't stand up in an NFL locker room and wanted to quit, but this is his way of getting paid too. And he's attempting to take down careers with him while doing so.

Seriously? Did you even hear the voicemail? Incognito should not only be put in jail, but Dolphin coaches should be fired and penalized heavily. Treat fellow human beings with respect. The things Richie said are disgusting beyond words. Keep it in house? Should you keep it quiet if someone commits a crime against you? If that was your son, what would you think? Unbelievable and scary that anyone could think like you.

I've read and heard everything. And to me, it's unbelievable that someone can conclude what you are concluding.
A crime?? Oh my Lord.
A crime?? Oh my Lord.

You didn't hear the voicemail and read the texts did you? Yes, it is a crime to make physical threats against another human being.

Well written article that is spot on IMO.

Yes, I'm sure Richie Incognito literally was planning on pulling Martin aside in the locker room and shitting in his mouth. I'm sure it was right on his "to-do" list right after bench press and before getting taped.
If this was a crime, and every victim acted like Martin did, then every locker room in the league would get raided by police tomorrow. It's such an embellished story because the media finally got what they wanted in the most popular sport in America.

What about the players saying that Martin played the voicemail in the locker room and laughing about it? Oh that must not fit the narrative.

Yes, this is a crime:
“Hey, wassup, you half n—– piece of s—,” a voicemail left for Martin by Incognito in April 2013 reportedly begins. “F— you, you’re still a rookie. I’ll kill you.”
