Alabama has been looking very good as of late, but recall, at one point everyone thought they looked very beatable. A sloppy win vs. Va. Tech, a 7 point win over Texas A&M, struggling with Colorado State in the 4th quarter.

But then Alabama started its stretch of dominance, beating Ole Miss in Tuscaloosa (which was an impressive win don't get me wrong), followed by wins over Georgia State, Kentucky, Arkansas and Tennessee. But lets take a closer look at these opponents that they have dominated:

Ole Miss (5-3, 2-3)

Offensive Rank: 47th
Defensive Rank: 58th

Team Leaders:

QB B. Wallace: 1976 yards 11 TD's (QBR 66.6)
RB J. Scott: 434 yards 2 TD's
WR D. Moncrief: 498 yards 4 TD's

Georgia State (0-9)

Their 0-9. Thats all.

Kentucky (2-6, 0-4)

Offensive Rank: 93rd
Defensive Rank: 70th

Team Leaders:

QB M. Smith: 893 yards 6 TD's (QBR 51.9)
RB J. Kemp: 390 yards 2 TD's
WR J. Blue: 345 yards 2 TD's

Arkansas (3-6, 0-5)

Offensive Rank: 109th
Defensive Rank: 91st

Team Leaders:

QB B. Allen 1067 yards 9 TD's (QBR 55.3)
RB A. Collins 889 yards 4 TD's
WR J. Herndon 377 yards 4 TD's

Tennessee (4-5, 1-4)

Offensive Rank: 90th
Defensive Rank: 79th

Team Leaders:

QB J. Worley 1239 yards 10 TD's (QBR 66.2)
RB R. Neal 771 yards 9 TD's
WR M. North 436 yards 1 TD

Now lets look at LSU

LSU (7-2, 3-2)

Offensive Rank: 16th
Defensive Rank: 31st

Team Leaders:

QB Z. Mettenberger 2492 yards 19 TD's (QBR 85.7)
RB J. Hill 922 yards 12 TD's
WR O. Beckham 1009 yards 8 TD's
WR J. Landry 882 8 TD's

Mett is far and away the best QB they have played since JFF.
Hill is the best RB they have played.
ODB and Juice are the statistically better than any receivers they've played with the exception of Mike Evans, but certainly the best tandem.

Our Defense has not been good, at all, but I fully expect us to get a turnover or two plus a few stops and then let the O do the rest.

Bama has not played a team as balanced and with as many playmakers as LSU. If A&M had our defense, or any other defense in the SEC for that matter, then Bama has one loss right now. Add in the fact that ruining Bamas season is all we left to play and I firmly believe we leave Bryant Denny with a double digit win.

We got the intangibles and that's all we need.

It's those 'stops' I'm worried about. Our D hasn't given us much to be hopeful about. If they're ever gonna do it though, they better do it Saturday.

They beat Ole Miss 25-0. We got beat by Ole Miss 27-24. If we go by numbers, then you can expect a big loss. Personally I dont think numbers mean much until we play. If we win, it will be because we played great on offense and even better (much better) on defense. And it will be because Miles doesn't frick up anything.

But not because he beat or outcoached Saban right?

Even though he's got more wins on Saban at Bama than anyone.

I was riding on the posi tiger train and then I realized!! Bama 35 to zip over Ole Miss. Lsu? well no need to recap that debacle. OM could not score against bama and bama put 35 point differential. So I am walking now cause the posi tiger train left me at the station and departed without me. Lsu you would have to play lights out to win. Need to play perfect game, that is no dumb drive killing penalties, no starring down the receivers for easy interceptions. No missing blocking assignments allowing pass rusher to nail Met. also need to wrap up and actually tackle the bama runners..could happen but doubtful

We will be able to put a few points on the board, but I still have no clue on how our defense will stop Bama. They are very balanced.

We need to have a near perfect game, while Bama overlooks us and has a few mistakes to come out with a W. It definitely won't be a double digit victory.

Teams play bad games, LSU overlooked and underestimated Ole Miss. Do you think anyone is overlooking or underestimating Alabama? Friiiickkk no. And I don't care who you are playing, anytime your QB throws 3 picks in the first half you are in trouble. Mett played bad, we over looked them, and we still could have easily won that game. WE ARE A GOOD TEAM PEOPLE

agreed.

and LSU really needs to try and jump out to a 7 or even 10 point lead. at the very least they can't fall too far behind. you get down 2+ TDs to Alabama and it's going to be tough to rebound to a victory.

We definitely wouldn't lose to a hurt Ole Miss team.
Missou definitely would't blow a 17 point 4th quarter lead.
Clemson definitely would lose to FSU by almost 30 points.

It's college football. Take your definitely elsewhere.

Last time Bama played a good offense they started the game down 14-0. They are good yes, but people are acting like we are garbage. If LSU plays solid, we can win. It will not take a fricking miracle to beat them like some of you seem to believe.

Also before that cupcake stretch Bama just went on, their O Line was a major issue. Lets see just how impressive they are against two of the best D tackles in the nation.

This is what really gets to me, people are acting like it would be the most shocking thing in the world if we win this game. LSU fans (all you sunshine pumpers included) need to realize we are on bamas level, i promise you none of the bama fans have posted"Beat LSU" pics or talked about shocking the world in the lats 5 years.

Another thing you could look at is this, how many 18 and 19 year olds can play 9 straight games of any level football and not be worn down?

Through the first 4 games of the year our D did't allow a team over 300 yards on offense (Auburn got 150+ yards once the game was over so yeah). Then we played a mostly healthy UGA, a duel threat QB which gives any team problems in MSU, dominated Florida, and shut down Ole Miss once the D realized it had sucked for a half.

You could see in the Furman game that our guys were just worn down. Those young freshmen and sophomores will be rested and energetic again. I expect our D to look similar to the TCU game.

I know, it's so damn annoying. Our players are every bit as good as theres, our coordinators are just as good if not better, our head coach has won 10+ games almost every year he has been here, what is it exactly that makes us so much worse than them?

Lets compare position units:

QB:
No doubt Mett is a better passer than AJ. Thats not debatable. And if you look at the QBs in this series its not close.

Last years game stats:

Mett 24-35 298 yards 1 TD
AJ 14-27 165 yards 1 TD (on a fricking screen)

Advantage: LSU by 133 yards

RB:
Jeremy Hill is the 2nd or 3rd back in terms of yards in the SEC and I believe is the TD leader as well. Yeldon is great but he hasn't done what Hill has this year (fumbles too!).

Last years game stats:

Hill 107 yards 1 TD
Yeldon 76 yards
Lacy 83 yards 1 TD

Advantage: LSU by 31 yards and 1 TD

WR:
ODB and Juice make up the best WR tandem in college football.
Amari Cooper has underperformed and they're two leading receivers combined have 200 yards less than our #2 receiver and 400 yards less than our #1 receiver.

Last years game stats:

Landry 8 catches 75 yards 1 TD
ODB 4 catches 73 yards
Norwood 5 catches 62 yards
Jones 4 catches 40 yards

Advantage: LSU by 46 yards and 1 TD

In other words

WE GOT THIS!!!
