Going to a 9 game conf.schedule and having the BCS selection committee give serious points to teams scheduling serious opponents could be the best thing to happen to college football since the phony scheduling of regional schools started. I've always thought that schedules like Bama's, Ohio State's, and LSU's should be penalized. When a major school schedules a Furman, Towson, ULLL-LA, Ga. State., Chattanooga, Buffalo, San Diego St.,etc., they are saying that they are not willing to play a football game and still want to claim a victory. Scheduling a pushover should count as a loss on their records, regardless of outcome.
