double the wide outs

Yall tell me one thing. We have two wide outs and bama is going to do just what Ole Miss and Furman did and double cover both of them. Now you know Les won't throw to the running backs or the tight end so how is Mett going to get over 200 yards passing with no one to throw the ball to.

There are other receivers, you are aware of this, correct?

No, no chance.

Did you see the game last season?

Probably just kneel every play. Nothing else to do I guess
If they double Beckham and Landry, Kadron Boone, Travis Dickson, Gordon, Diarse, etc are gonna have to step up. I'm sure Cam is working them into the gameplan. Wouldn't be surprised to see a lot more 3 and 4 WR sets to spread them out. The running game will have to perform well too. I highly doubt they're going to try to force the ball into double coverage every play if they can find better matchups elsewhere, they've seen how that worked out before.
The game hasn't been played yet. And it's Cam's job to worry about this stuff late at night. Don't sweat it and

The Gumps have no Wideouts or Running Backs. Anyone that only get 45 Points on A&M has no Offense!! Oh! the 7th Best Offense in the SEC!!

I never said they didn't have that.
That's not what the OP is referring to.

Yeah we have other receivers but as long as LSU hardly ever throws the ball to them, then it won't matter. Passing to the RB and TE would be cool, but NO, that won't happen. Every once in a while they may do it once. That'll throw off the opposing defense.

I have to disagree.
Our first two scores in the Georgia game were passes to Kadron Boone. That was when Georgia had their guns. They were missing Gurley and Marshall was knocked out of the game but they still had that TE Bennett and Conley to throw to.
We've thrown passes to Hill and Magee. Let them double cover OBJ and Landry.
Dickson, Hill, Dural, Magee, Boone, Wright are all options. You can't cover everyone.
But keep thinking that we're just nothing. I mean, why should we even make the trip?
Am I doing it right?

Your football IQ is way too high for me to follow you. Way over my head.

The offense has NOT been the same as it was earlier in the season (and no Furman doesn't count.) Yes they sometimes throw to other people, but not enough to make the opposing defense change much. Pretty much had 4 guys covering 2 of our guys against Ole Miss and still kept doing too much of the same thing.
Hopefully they mix it up some more, but it shouldn't take a loss to Ole Miss to see the obvious. Just being real.
Do Not actually watch the games or are you actually this delusional?

Not trying to be a jerk here but I don't think you are being real.
Right off the Tigers if you choose. That's your decision.
Call me delusional or what have you..... I'm not about to just pack it up before the game is even played.
Fair enough?

Not righting or lefting them off.
Fair enough?

You got me, I misspelled a word.
Write them off, if you choose.
Again, I'm not trying to be a jerk.

Well you used the wrong word...and I couldn't help myself...but I'm not writing them off either.
Not feeling very confident about it, but hoping they pull it off.

well we completed 23 of 37 passes vs UGA and we had 7 receptions outside of Landry and Beckham
Against Ole Miss we were 19 of 33 and we had 7 receptions outside of Landry and OBJ
Against MSU we were 25 of 29 with 8 receptions outside of OBJ and Landry.
Seems like we the % were pretty similar against Ole Miss

The thing some people dont realize about the Ole Miss game is those were throws Mett has made all year in double coverage..he was just off that night..usually those passes are where only the receiver can catch it..so I dont expect much change in play calling Im just hoping Mett steps up..
And I wish you Les haters stop saying "Les wont throw it to the RB's" like hes actually on the field..Mett has his check down options he just doesnt use them..he never really had to..

First, did you see last year? Second, did you see Florida/TCU? Bama does not have a secondary near that. Third, it's on Mett to not force passes so often. He got lucky early in the year, but it's now biting him on his arse. He got a big head.

Well, a true RB screen would be nice to run for a change. Ole Miss is sending repeated pressure, but Les just doesn't like to run them.
We haven't really ran RB screens since Jimbo left and even those were rare. We do that middle one ever once in a while. You would think with our oline talent over the years, we would want to give them the ball in space
