I don't think the distributors (republic) have the option of jacking up the price. the cost is set by the manufacturer and that's what the distributor is supposed to sell it at. the retailers jack up the prices

I think its the retailers and they try to place blame on the back channel so they don't look like such a price gouger.
I got a 23 last week for 259 so I think its the retailers...
