The Pho Bang in NOLA East is so damn good. For me it doesn't get any better, equal maybe but never better.
only place I've been in Nola East is Ba Mien. they had some of the best pho broth I've ever had .. couldn't handle the tripe and tendon though.

Ba Mien
I used to eat there a good bit. They always had the craziest laser disks playing extended videos, but it was like live action videos.
I never tried pho there though. My favorite dish on that strip was Dong Phuong's birds nest vermicelli with the grilled pork. They gave very similar accoutrements that come with pho except it had large pieces of lettuce to wrap the noodle and pork mixture in. They served it with fish sauce to dip and all the fresh herbs to put inside. They started to call it pressed vermicelli, but last time I went I didn't see it at all. It was more of an angel hair then the dry noodle dishes, IDK.
Now it's Pho Bang for soup, and to crack the frick out on their egg rolls, every time unless we are getting Bahn Mi from the Phuong. Everyone says I have to try to steamed pork buns, but that shite freaks me out.
