Real easy to bring pressure when you're not scared of anyone beating you deep. Florida is a disaster on offense. Norwood, Bell, and Cooper can all beat us. We won't be able to blitz. Hunter and Rasco will have to play well. Really hate our matchup here. Mingo was contained last year by Fluker.
Yes, I understand that, but Hunter was knocking down balls and disrupting things even without being right up on the QB. Those are things that we didn't really do in any other games (even against worse teams). Those are major things that can help. You have to disrupt things any way you can.
We have to try and blitz every once in a while. No, we don't want to send the house the majority of the time, but we have to at least make him guess what we're doing at times. If he can predict what's gonna happen on every play, we can all predict what the outcome will be.
We have talented guys too. They maybe haven't played like it, but sometimes you gotta do things a little different to try and get a different result.
We're not even close to having the kind of defense VT has, but they blitzed and were successful against AJ (unfortunately for them, their special teams and offense gave up TDs). I'm just saying that for anyone who thinks you can't blitz him at all. We just don't have the guys to do it like they did it though.
