Definitely lost his "sheen" with me and my family. But he's still much, much better than anyone we can hope to replace him with.

I don't believe this. I believe this is a big myth put forward by those who hate change. Nobody is irreplaceable. When Saban left, we thought there was no way LSU would keep going. Les Miles did some great things back then and LSU has kept pretty relevant and near the top. But since 1/9/12 and just before, a gradual erosion is taking place, and what I think I see is some shockingly pervasive complacency settling into the coaching staff that borders on what looks like laziness. And the team appears to be catching it.

So either light a fire under yourself and your staff, CLM, before the golden sun of LSU sets. It's not too late to turn things around.
