He's an aggressive hitter with excellent bat control. He hardly strikes out, but he hardly walks either. He puts balls in play, but still bats .280. Works a pitcher, but a double play risk every time someone's on first. That's his on-the-field "issue". I can't speak for his work ethic or anything else like that that might have kept him off the field.

From what I know, Moore works plenty hard. Sometimes coaches make decisions about players and the player may have a hard time busting through the coach's perception of him. Moore has shown himself to be a clutch hitter, but we have not seen enough of him to know what he will do if he's a regular starter. Maybe we'll see what he can do next season.
