He is a former employee of LSU's SID.
Big big big LSU fan.
His mom works for LSU in the AD but not FOR the AD.
Not mad, just curious. Lil Nicky is a former employee of LSU and posts about him stay on the Rant.

Can it please get stickied at least until funeral arrangements are made?
Many people on here knew Shelby. He's donating his organs. He was a HUGE LSU fan, donated his time to McKinley's Football team (statistician).
These people on O-T ... many are not from LSU.
The story will be on page 20 by tonight with all of the "What did you eat for breakfast" type posts.

I have requested sticky more than once.
The Shelby story is larger than life now. I got it onto WAFB. WBRZ and NOLA picked it up.
Hillar Moore was at the crime scene. He went to the hospital with Shelby and stayed the whole night. He's also been back to the hospital a few times. He emailed me with a statement that it's a shame this type stuff happened to such a fine man. He knew Shelby from days at the Old Box. He wasn't just "doing his job."

It's certainly a sad story, Red Stick, but if it sinks to page 20 on the OT, then either not too many people know who he was or apparently care about the story .. Just an unfortunate part of life .. You can't force people to care, I guess ..
On the flip side, I do see your frustration as I have seen threads like that stickied before and am sure others will be after .. Don't know the criteria here ..
Eta: just read through the thread closely .. when you started soliciting for donations, that's where it gets dicey .. looks like two other groups outside the OT that would be closer to him and more compelled to donate are already collecting .. They should be able to raise enough, hopefully .. When you start doing that here, it's frowned upon .. Like Captain said, you're lucky the thread didn't get deleted ..

FYI, I've seen many posts about this type of stuff in the past. My post started off as prayers for LSU fan Shelby Holmes.
