Well on thing is clear here. He definitely likes the Austin area if he's looking for vacation homes. No one would buy a vacation home in That shite hole called Tuscaloosa

Not confirming or denying but strictly ftr....he has a vacation home already on a lake in Ga that is 10x more attractive than any lake house in Tx and that lake is sort of a dump with the water recession issues

Playing Devils Advocate though the man is 62 unless he REALLY is that full of himself to start over again. If he is then Bama will still be Bama after he is gone. Saban did not build our program to what it is historically and the job would be extremely enticing for any HC I just hope if it happens in the next couple yrs and Kirby is on staff he will get a serious look because I think he is primed and ready for the job.

As far as recruiting goes LSU would be absolutely positively fricked in Texas and he would likely keep pulling guys from La as well if he was the HC in Austin, not sure if the regents would agree to let him try and join the SEC though...they are a finicky bunch over there.

I would hate it but I would thank him for all he has done for our program and wish him well

You don't lose the best HC in modern college history and stay the same just because you're bama. You have to make the perfect hire.

The perfect hire is hard to find, due to the NFL. Saban was the exception. Most coaches have their sights set on the NFL

Have you seen every lake house in Tx?

Depends on who you hire. You're Bama because of Bear and Nick...2 of the greatest college football coaches ever.

Probably true, but at least we wouldn't have to play him every year.

Dude - you truly do not know what the fock you are talking about. Lake Austin homes are some of the most sought after homes in the state. Lake Travis is suffering from the drought. Lake Austin is not.

That said... The rumor I heard here in Austin was that terry was in town condo shopping for one of the kids.

Of course, I have nothing to substantiate that because it is merely a rumor.

Bucc the only reason I think that this could possibly happen is that Saban knows how fast he could have Texas back on track. If you think he turned Bama around fast what he could do with Texas would make your faint. I also think he would want to stay in the Big 12. He would be even more dominant in the Big 12. Just think if he went next year he could be the team to stop the SEC streak on NC's. Assuming the SEC wins it again this year. Could you imagine his recruiting classes at Texas? I mean Austin is just a tiny bit cooler than Tuscaloosa.

Well Bama sure wasn't Bama before he got there so I don't think there is anyway in the world they would stay at the level they are. Maybe for a year or two. Maybe.
