I'm a revolver fan, so my vote is an SP101 in 357 mag loaded with 38+p self defense loads.

I'm no self defense or CCW guru though. I just know that an SP101 with 38 loads is a very manageable gun to shoot and not too big to carry. You also have the option to stuff it full of full power .357 magnum loads if she gets comfortable enough for that.

Women often have trouble racking the slides on compact semi-autos, and they usually don't practice enough to be good at clearing jams quickly.


I'll difer to to self defense folks.
