Last year was our tenth and I spent 18 days driving all the frick over France.

We did that a few years ago, but flew from Paris to Toulouse and drove for 5-days, Bordeaux, Saint Emilion, etc----did NOT like the driving at all. Let's say a lot of tension ensued every time we got into the car.

Last time I went to Key West there was a large fecal/bacteria contamination ongoing in the water which ruined an offshore swim participants had trained months for, that place doesn't do much for me.

Seriously, why do people not take the train? So many wonderful places are easily accessible via train. Forget driving in Europe...unless you're fixated on reaching some podunk hamlet in the hills, trains are the way to go.
