I may not have seen this in this thread but Fla St. Finished in the top 5 for like 13 straight seasons. I have to believe NO program can say this.

During that time, I'm sure the ACC was one of the weakest conferences in the nation. Alabama hasn't had the benefit of owning the conference like U.S.C. or Florida State. No, Alabama has had to deal with LSU, Florida, and special years by other teams.

Well not really. It doesn't really count if you "have to deal with them" - if you can lose to them and it doesn't matter.

And when has Florida been great since Bama's run from 2009 to present???

Another, SEC rep argument?

Now, it would mean something if your losses actually counted against SEC...like losing to LSU and losing to TAMU.

When USC lost a Pac-10 game like one by 6 points in Corvallis in 2008 - that was it. They didn't get to climb back in and play Florida for the title.

So your argument rings hollow - you want to have your cake and eat too.

You've had a handful of SEC opponents during your run and you only beat half of them...the rest of the SEC hasn't been up to snuff.

It was decent. Not as good as the SEC is, BUT hey. The SEC is pretty top heavy these days. Think about it.

Get your facts straight. Much of that 13 year run by FSU was as an independent. They played Miami and Florida every year. Then they usually played some other top schools as well. Then they would get to the New Years day bowl and run rings around Oklahoma and Nebraska. They were not always in the ACC.
