Actually, he did the complete opposite. He never once had anything bad to say about the school, team, coaches, or fans. He didn't blame anybody but himself for what happened and owned up to it.

you're sort of missing the point. Taking responsibility isn't the issue. Good for him if he indeed recognizes his actions as being less than admirable. That recognition in no way mitigates his actions and his lack of concern for team, school, fans, and teammates.

Jesus frick dude. If his former teammates are cool with him you should be. Ever heard of forgiving someone for actions they regret? He owes you literally less than nothing. If anything you owe him.

so he made bad decisions, took accountability for them, and not once blamed anyone but himself. he then went out of his way to say nothing but good things about his team mates, coaches, and school for the support they gave him throughout the entire ordeal. and all those people have forgiven him. yeah he really spit on the program and school by doing all that. people make mistakes. people pay for those mistakes. that shouldn't forever damn them from people hoping the best for him and liking him as an individual. sorry he provided you with some of the most exciting moments in LSU football history.

He was one of the best college football players. Seems like his focus was good. I don't give a shite about him smoking pot. Probably because I would too in his situation.

Mathieu has done more good for LSU than 99% of the posters on here. Yet you want to take a shite on him
