Nick's isn't the same guy you saw in their playoff run to the SB. He's had foot and knee problems since then and hasn't been the same guy. Plus Colston already fill the Nicks role on the team.

He'll get overpaid in the offseason. Do not want.

I know this. But he would still bring more to the table than Ingram.

That's fine. I never said I want them to sign him long term. I don't see why anyone would mind getting him as a rental for the rest of the year, if the cost was just Ingram.

It's not going to happen, but getting Nicks for the rest of the year would be better than anything they could get for Ingram.

Nicks has the ability to be a threat downfield on the outside. I'm not sure if Colston is playing injuried but he looks a step slower. He never has been a stretch the field receiver anyway. Colston has made his living exploiting mismatches with LB's & safeties over the middle & down the seams.

This is irrelevant when discussing a half season rental of Nicks. Whatever contract a team decides to give him in the offseason is meaningless.
