The point is to WIN....not to put up video game numbers.
In this game is was supremely obvious that we could run the ball on them and that they could not move the ball consistently on us.
Soooo...
Given that you are playing a team that has a defensive strength in the secondary and one of your prime receivers is not at 100 percent, why would you throw the ball a ton?
Best case scenarion is you score a bunch on the sure. But the other two possibility are really sucky...you leave a bunch of time on the clock or worse risk INT that might allow them to score on defense.
IN THIS GAME...as long as we were ahead by two scores, could run the ball, and did not let them score on defense...they were done.
Our coaches, being the smart folks that they are, realized this and got the win by pounding the ball and eating clock.

But they weren't that good in the secondary?!! They have looked good because they haven't played an offense with this much star power, look I'm extremely happy we won, just think we could of done it better? Nothing wrong with that right? Geez, didn't say we looked terrible! Not close! We slapped em in the mouth, just think we could if done both! While running the ball down their throat! They never stopped us all game! We stopped our selves, just saying we didn't have to stop our selves like that. What was the spread in this game btw?
