And no, I didn't read the article because I don't need to hear more people talk about how they're superior to people in the south because they have different hobbies.
oh the irony

Is Seattle still butthurt about Boeing opening up a facility in SC and continues to shift its investments into our area?
They are definitely mad. You should have seen the uproar in the comments sections of the Seattle paper website and some of the articles written during the huge Air Force tanker contract bid between Airbus which is building a plant in Mobile, AL and Boeing a couple of years ago. They were slamming Mobile and even South Carolina when it the government initially awarded the $40 billion contract to Airbus. They were furious that the government or even Boeing would dare invest jobs or contract work out to non-union employees.

Most college title contenders toil in rural towns with few distractions and little else to holler about.
The origins of all SEC fervor.
When you don't have much going on - you put all your passion and angst in one basket.
You can't compare living/playing CFB in Los Angeles, Seattle, San Diego or the Bay Area.

Apparently I missed all the fun. Did that guy throw us in the same boat because we are pretty much the only Udub fans on here?
He said that you were my alter. Then he posted a whole bunch of screenshots from some random guy's twitter feed and said it was me. Then he posted some other random guy's mirror pic and said it was me too. It was really bizarre . It was that SeahawksHuskies/iDominate guy again that keeps getting banned.

The idea that the only reason college football is great in the South is because there is nothing else to do is such a lame idea. Just because the people there are passionate about something doesn't mean that that is all they have. Sports fans all over the country have sports and teams that they are obsessed with but for some reason the only people that have to apologize for their passion is college football fans from the South.

The only reason NY and Boston fans are the most passionate about their teams is because there's nothing to do in those cities.
You see?
ETA - And Austin, Madison, and Ann Arbor are notoriously terrible college towns, right?

Yeah you never hear this argument in college basketball. For years some of the best college basketball, and it's most rabid fans were in the Big East. But Alas, there's nothing else for those poor people in the northeast to do, so they cling to their college basketball.

What is with people in the Vancouver/Seattle area thinking they are so civilized? I can't go 20 minutes into a conversation with someone from either place without having to state how forward and awesome of a city it is.

Disagree. Frankly it's loser talk. I've lived all over the country. For example, I lived in Colorado in the 90s when the Buffs were good and Nebraska was just better.
The typical comeback was, "well, at least we don't live in Nebraska and have things to do."
Is there more to do in Boulder/Denver than Lincoln? Sure.
Well, are the people who go to the games, spend money, and watch CU on TV, as well as the players and coaches losing because of the opportunities to hike? Do they not care? Obviously they care enough to be upset about losing and football matters. Winning in football is not mutually exclusive to having "something to do" in town.
Pure loser talk.
In terms of civilized; draw your own conclusions:
