Roberto Duran at lightweight is IMO top-5 P4P fighter all time.

People sometimes don't realize that they weren't watching the best Roberto Duran when he was in the ring with guys like Leonard, Hearns and Hagler. Duran wasn't quite the same when he moved up in weight.

But at lightweight, Duran was a bad, bad man.



and while we're on this era of 80s greats....one hypothetical matchup I would love to see and rarely gets mentioned is Carlos Monzon-Marvin Hagler at middleweight. What a fight that would have been. I'd wanna see this over Marciano-Ali, Tyson-Ali, Mayweather-Pacquiao, etc.

THIS!

It's sad, to me at least, that 'No Mas' and later events came to overshadow Duran's early dominance. He was so awesome to watch.
