don't try and bring facts and number into this

I would much rather post based off my irrational and emotional insecurities concerning Alabama

I get all that, but LSU being able to lockdown the state has been a huge part of our run from 00' to now. It's fine when we lose a 5* to USC being we never play them. It's a whole other story losing a 5* Safety 2 years ago and now to possibly lose 2 5*'s this year one of which is a Safety(a position in which we are extremely lacking) to a division rival who has been our sole roadblock to crystal balls in the last 2-3 years. It may not hurt the schools from those other states. LSU keeping the best in-state at home has been the reason we've been so successful over the last decade and a half. Bottom line: We need Louisiana's best players to keep it going.
