DB's Vs WR's ---Hargreaves and Purifoy Vs Odell and Jarvis..Will this be the best matchup our guys will face all season?

Florida's D line vs our Oline -- Fowler and Powell Vs La'el and Jerald ...Will we face a better pass rush than these two on the edge for the rest of the year?

What says the Rant?

Without a doubt.

Probably not, but there dline doesn't scare me as much without Easley.

Yes, LSU will need Dural and Boone to step up.

We will definitely see much more man coverage than we've seen this year.

I was thinking the same thing. Tightend Play and WR3 for us will be huge... not to mention our running game. If Odell and Jarvis have big games Vs Florida... I think their respect they are garnering will be verified and their draft status as EE's will be solidified.

I think the bigger question will be our run blocking. It's been flaky at best this year, but the numbers look good because Hill has busted some big runs. I think we'll need a more consistent running game to keep drives going. Mett won't be able to sit back and fire away on 3rd and 13 like he's used to.

Mett's gonna take some hits, no doubt and will be sacked multiple times. The run will also be stuffed except for a few breakout runs by Hill. This will be the difference in the game, imho.

true... winning first and second down to make 3rd manageable should be key as well

Yes, UF's secondary will be the best you see all year. Our Safeties are young and you will see a lot of man from our big 3...

Marcus Roberson and Hargreaves are our cover corners and Purifoy is our big play DB... Roberson and Purifoy are the listed starters, but VHIII has played the best. I think LSU's run game slows down UF's pass rush. Should be a fun game.

not a single doubt.

Nope.

Defense better be ready, because it won't be easy on offense like it has been. Still, I think we surprise UF a little on O.

That right there, you nailed it. If we let that happen in this game, we have no chance.

yeah, we can't afford to run into an 8 or 9 man box and get stuffed. WE have to be a little more savvy against this D.

Les can be awfully stubborn about running into stacked fronts, and other teams seem to know it.

We have run some nice plays out of the 2 + 2 package as I have heard it described - 2 backs and 2 TE's.

I have confidence that Cam will call a good game to keep Mett from 3rd and long as best he can.

we need to borrow a page from the ole ball coach's playbook from his florida days. Pass the damn ball every play during the first half, and then when they are softened, pound 'em with the running game.
