We won three games that year and lost to Houston Community College.
That was a strange year, and more happened off the field/in the locker room than we will ever know.
Struggled with San Jose St. in the opener (not all that unusual), then crushed North Texas 52-0. We took a bad beating from Aubun, 41-7 and were 2-1 going to Athens - we lost @UGA, but it was 23-22.
Then we kept losing through the penultimate game to Houston as you described. Dinardo was fired and we won the season finale, under the direction of interim head coach Hal Hunter, against Arkansas, fairly convincingly, 35-10. Rohan Davey, Reggie Robinson and Rondell Mealy had monster performances in that game.
