Gota go for the touchdown if it's a second down. That gives you two shots to the endzone.. runs off maybe 10 seconds.
It's easier to score from the 10 and then try to get an onside kick and get a few yards to get in field goal range than it is to just kick a field goal and then have to get an onside and drive down the field for a TD
Only go for the FG if it's 4th down
