Ask, but step 1 after the YLOD is repaired is to save a back-up. Hope you did so.
I've heard of repairs lasting anywhere from 2 hours to 200 hundred. From what they told me there is no way to know which one it will be really.

Sure didn't. Was going to do it the day after it fried again.
