There is no comparison between 18 yr. olds and 21-22 yr olds. For a league that is so concerned about safety, the NFL would have to be huge hypocrites to allow kids to go to the NFL straight out of HS.

It's all smoke and mirrors and passing the buck.
If the colleges were serious about the whole student-athlete compact, they would stop recruiting and admitting athletes that clearly are not students. Nobody is forcing the colleges to be a glorified minor league system.
