No, Les does not deserve a statue yet. He needs to win another championship. He has done a great job, and is going to end up being the winningest coach in LSU history, but damn most of those wins were stressful! His W/L record looks good on paper, but people who have watched those games know that many of them were much closer than they should have been and were very ugly. Seeing what our offense has been able to accomplish in such a short time with a good OC just shows how much our offense has underachieved for the better part of the Miles tenure.
Again, I think Miles has done a good job, and I am glad he is our coach. I just do not think he is statue worthy yet

Why would LSU want to copy Bama?

Bama did not invent honoring coaches with statues.

Love Coach Miles, not a big fan of statues of people who are still alive. Lets work on the terrible looking support beams or what ever you call them in front of Tiger Stadium on Nicholson side. We have a beautiful stadium architecture that has been covered up with ugliness.

What would he be doing in the statue?
I don't think a statue is a good idea until after he leaves/retires.
But if they do put one up he has to be doing the patented Seal Clap.

It should involve him eating grass and picking his ear at the same time...
He needs to us another title or two before they start thinking statue....

Any statue of an actvie coach is a very bad idea. Imagine if there was a Mack Brown statue in Austin right now...

I don't like the idea of a statue of a living coach. We aren't idol worshippers like Bama fans.
